Rebuilding the “Daylight School” to help rebuild young lives

Blood Foundation opened the Daylight School just a few months ago. It was set up to provide full time non-formal education for children of Shan migrants living and working on the farms located in the mountains along the Burma border in Fang District. These people have come to Thailand seeking refuge from persecution and oppression under the Burmese Junta. Aside from Thai they also study their native Shan language and culture. Thailife Foundation will cover the costs for renovating, repairing and regenerating the building in time for the new school year, including fixing up the WCs that will service the school. For the building materials, transport to the location (one hour from town), paint, tools and doors for the WCs, the estimated costs will be between $800 -$1000.
